Good news! The Asus ZenBook Pro Duo release date is here
Asus announced at Computex that its ZenBook Pro Duo release date is set for September 6th of this year. The 1TB NVMe SSD Machine comes with a full-width secondary touchscreen (3840 x 1100) that works seamlessly with the main display. Asus is releasing two different configurations of the Asus ZenBook Pro Duo, both having the ScreenPad Plus above the keyboard.
Pre-order for the Asus ZenBook Pro Duo will is already available on Amazon for the two configurations.
Concerning the two configurations, they are priced at $2,499 and $2,999, with the cheaper configuration having an Intel Core i7-9750H processor, has 16GB of DDR4 2,666MHz RAM, and a more pedestrian FHD panel While the high-end model comes with an Intel Core i9-9980HK CPU, 32GB of DDR4 2,666MHz RAM, and a 4K display.
The ZenBook Pro Duo has up to eight cores(Core i9) and has an Nvidia RTX 2060 graphics card, a 40Gbps Thunderbolt 3 port, a 15.6 ” 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) OLED HDR screen with a 14 ” 4K (3840 x 2160) ScreenPad Plus and a Turbo cooling button.
Coupled with the above-mentioned features is an amazon Alexa voice control is also available, with a headphone jack, and a full-sized HDMI port.
The laptop is painted with the Celestial Blue colour which according to Asus, draws its inspiration from the future and gives ZenBook Pro Duo a sophisticated air of timeless innovation. Also, it’s decorated with a unique asymmetric version of the iconic Zen-inspired spun-metal finish: an intriguing design detail that gives the ZenBook Pro Duo an unmistakable identity. As regards the secondary touch screen(TouchPad Plus) which is situated above the keyboard which also gives one the possibility of splitting it into two smaller 16:9 1080p windows, it could be used for many different operations. It can be used just like any standard second display in Windows to display visual content.
Alternatively, the TouchPad Plus could be used to reduce saturation on the main screen by dragging menus, discrete apps, and toolbars into it. Also, make use of it to simplify multiscreen Windows and app management.
