Despite the trade war between China and the U.S, Huawei is on the move. They have announced the release of a new flagship, and this time it will make its debut in Munich come this September 19th, 2019. That is right Huawei’s latest flagships — the Huawei Mate 30 Series launch date is set for September 19th and will debut in Munich, Germany.
Huawei confirmed the Huawei Mate 30 Series launch date in a short video teaser posted on Twitter. And knowing that the Huawei Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro won”t come with core Google services, it is hard to think of what OS it will run.
What Operating System will it Launch with?
Furthermore, Huawei’s tagline for the Mate 30 series is “Rethink Possibilities.” This leaves us to wonder what Huawei has in reserve concerning their new flagship. Is the Huawei Mate 30 series going to run on Android? Or will it be Huawei’s system HamonyOS? Well, as things stand, one can only wait till September 19th.
Whether it launches with Android or HarmonyOS, the Mate 30 series will still be based on an open-source Operating System. Also, the flagship Mate 30 Pro will likely come with a Kirin 990 Chipset.
The Kirin 990 Chipset is to be expected since the current highest Chipset version is the Kirin 980 which made its debut on the Huawei Mate 20 series. That said, everything will be officially unveiled during IFA 2019.
We are also expecting super-fast charging, likely higher than the 40W SuperCharge launched with the P30 Pro. Also, some leaks point to the fact that the Huawei Mate 30 series might support the 5G network.
Additionally, some unverified leaks on Twitter indicate that the Mate 30 Pro will feature a large circular quad-camera and a “waterfall” display with extremely curved edges.

With the launch date of the Huawei Mate 30 series set for September 19th, there is no accurate information on the prices. As a result, one can only deduce from the prices of Huawei Mate 20 series. With that in mind, the Mate 30 pro will likely cost higher than $1,150 since as the Huawei Mate 20 Pro cost £899 / AU$1,599 (around $1,150) at launch. So, one will have to wait till the Huawei Mate 30 Series launches, on September 19th.
