What Are Dreams?
Dreams are visions we see while asleep. There are numerous opinions about why we see dreams, what causes them, and how they should be interpreted. These opinions are based on science, logic, spirituality, and religion. Among scientists and men of religion, there is a debate about the origin, cause, and meaning of dreams. However, the widely accepted view about the phenomena of dreams is that they have a meaning and message that they are meant to convey beyond just a vision during the state of deep slumber.
Who Are Dream Workers
Some people forget their dreams as soon as they awake, while others may remember them for years or their whole lives. Dream workers believe that dreams are worth delving into and exploring and that dreams indeed have a deeper significance. A dream worker is a person to whom one can narrate a dream that they have seen, and they will hear all the details of the dream and provide an interpretation of the dream. They will explain the meaning of the objects and events seen in the dream and specify if the dream has a special message or instruction to be followed by the person who has seen it.
Why We See Dreams
There are various explanations behind the occurrence of dreams and various opinions about how they can be interpreted.
Some dream workers believe that as we fall asleep after a busy day, during which our bodies may have been busier than our minds since our day generally consists of mechanical actions that do not require much thought, our minds stay awake. At the same time, we sleep to perform pending duties and process all they have seen felt, and heard during the day.
Some dream workers believe that the human being has an ideal state, and the mind shows us dreams during our sleep to guide us about what we must do to bring ourselves into that state in light of the experiences we have had when awake. Thus dreams provide invaluable guidelines, tips, and hints to improve ourselves and reach our ideal balanced states, which will bring us to complete mental, emotional, and spiritual fulfillment.
Yet other dream workers, who are religiously and spiritually inclined, believe that a dream has a connection with the Divine. It is a message from the Divine to be analyzed and understood to decide a future course of action.
One theory exists that a dream is the inevitable product of the subconscious mind. The human mind naturally processes recent memories and experiences; it may combine or modify them subconsciously and replay them during sleep in the form of dreams. A dream thus would be a mere regurgitation of reallife events, nothing except a simple flashback of experiences.
Some dreams may bring a person sadness, distress, depression, anger, or fear. Dream workers explain that such dreams are generally the product of a tired or upset mind and should not be given much thought. They should be forgotten, and one should move on with their life normally in the aftermath of such dreams.
A person may see a simple dream, which could be understood through mere reflection; one would not need to consult a dream worker to interpret their meaning. For instance, it is widely believed that there is a special significance in dreams in which the loved ones of a person who has already passed away appear.
Dream workers explain that since the essence of the human being is their soul, and the souls of people remain connected till eternity when the dead appear in a person’s dream, they might be trying to convey important information or messages to the alive. If these loved ones who have passed are seen in a happy state, such as smiling, laughing, or walking in a beautiful garden, this is a certain indication that their souls are peaceful after death.
They may have appeared in the dreams of their loved ones who are still alive to provide them solace and assurance that there is no need to worry for them in their absence from this world. Sometimes, the departed may appear in a person’s dream to nudge someone to a specific action or provide a necessary reminder. For instance, a person’s deceased mother may appear in their dream and tell them to take care of their siblings, perhaps giving them hints that one of their siblings is unwell and needs their assistance. The spiritually inclined give importance to such dreams and plan their future actions accordingly.

True And Fake Dream Workers
Dreams have great significance in religious literature, and dreams of prophets are mentioned as important events, which convey predictions, and messages from the Almighty. The Prophet Joseph, among others, has been mentioned as a dream worker because he was able to interpret the dreams of others when they shared with him their dreams, and he predicted the future to them based on what they had seen in their dreams.
Those predictions came true. This conveys to us the importance of dreams and why dream workers are important. However, we cannot be sure that we still have such skilled and knowledgeable dream workers in our times today, as was the case with the prophets.
Many individuals claim to be dream workers and say they can accurately interpret dreams; however, hardly any of them truly know how to interpret dreams.
The dreams narrated to Prophet Joseph were also narrated to other dream workers of his time, but they did not have the ability and skills to decode them correctly. However, he did have that ability as it was given to him as a special blessing, and he could provide an accurate and fully correct meaning of the dreams.
Dream Workers And Real Life
There is a famous saying that anyone can have a dream, but success comes to those who turn their dreams into reality through action and willpower. This is the belief that good dream workers also promote. While they may offer help to interpret dreams, their real effort is to motivate others to perform better and think positively in life.
Even more important than understanding the meaning of one’s dream may be to feel inspired and focused in life to spend one’s time beneficially; this can help a person and those connected to him more than following the instructions or clues perceived in his dream. One may never be certain whether the interpretation of their dream is accurate.
However, one knows with certainty that when performed in real life, good deeds will lead to success and happiness, such as helping a person in need, making a child smile, or feeding a stray cat. A good dream worker always preaches the same and encourages acts of kindness and goodness.
Such acts can have such a great positive power on a person’s life that they can overcome any negative influences of unfavorable dreams. The best dream workers encourage others to perform good deeds while awake and be great human beings.
