Google is discontinuing Hangouts, a multi-platform quick chatting application. Customers are being urged to migrate to Google Chat, which debuted in October 2022, by the internet industry. Google has begun inviting smartphone consumers of Hangouts to move to Conversation in Gmail or the Conversation application via notifications beginning today. Users of the Hangouts Chrome extensions will also be prompted to switch to Talk on the internet or download the Conversation website application. Google encourages customers to remove everything of their information by November of this year when Hangouts will be discontinued.
